LEAFIE Director Returns with THE UNDERDOG

The main voice cast has been locked in for the upcoming animation The Underdog. New star PARK So-dam, D.O. (a.k.a. DOH Kyung-soo), a member of the K-pop group EXO, and veteran character actor PARK Cheol-min will provide the voices for The Underdog, which is being directed by Leafie, a Hen Into the Wild (2011) filmmaker OH Sung-yoon and LEE Chun-baek.

Also featuring PARK Cheol-min in the voice cast, as well as MOON So-ri and CHOI Min-shik, Director OH’s Leafie, a Hen Into the Wild became the most successful Korean animation of all time, drawing 2.2 million viewers (USD 12.1 million).

Starting out in small roles in indies such as Steel Cold Winter (2013) and The Legacy (2014), PARK So-dam exploded over the last year, appearing in co-starring roles in The Priests, The Throne, The Silenced and Snow Paths. PARK was recently named the most promising actress of 2016 by a Yes24 poll.

One of the three main members of South Korean-Chinese boy band EXO and its sub-group EXO-K, D.O. is quickly making a name for himself on the big screen. He first appeared in a small part in BOO Ji-young’s Cart (2014) and will be seen later this year in leading roles for both Unforgettable and the recently wrapped Older Brother (working title).

The Underdog is aiming for release in summer 2017.
