The Korean Film Festival in Paris (FFCP) is gearing up for its 10th anniversary edition with a colorful program that will sport 27 feature length and 30 short films to be screened during the eight-day event. Opening and closing the festival will be RYOO Seung-wan’s blockbuster action-comedy Veteran and HONG Sang-soo’s Right Now, Wrong Then, the recent winner of the Golden Leopard at the Locarno International Film Festival this year.

The festival’s main ‘Paysage’ lineup will feature 11 films, including the Korean Academy of Film Arts entries Alice in Earnestland and Socialphobia, youth comedy Twenty, director CHOI Dong-hoon’s period action Assassination, star JEON Do-yeon’s romantic thriller The Shameless, mystery thriller Island, comedy-drama My Dictator, JANG Kun-jae’s indie Japan-Korea production A Midsummer’s Fantasia, PARK Jung-bum’s indie epic Alive, documentary Heart of Snow, Heart of Blood and the road indie Gi-hwa.

Additionally, FFCP will this year present a section on romantic comedies, with five titles spanning from JANG Jin’s Someone Special (2004) to LEE Kwon’s My Ordinary Love Story (2014), a musical comedy sidebar, including classics such as Hyperbolae Of Youth (1956) and four others, and, finally, a focus section on emerging filmmaker KIM Dae-hwan, responsible for last year’s End of Winter.

FFCP will run over October 27th to November 3rd.
