Korea-China Co-Production FINDING THE LOST MASTER

KANG Gyeong-jun and HUH Yoo-jung Cast as Leads
 

HUH Yoo-jung, member of the idol group ‘Bob Girls’, and actor KANG Gyeong-jun have been cast in the Korea-China co-production, Finding the Lost Master, which takes Korean traditional martial arts taekwondo as its subject matter, is a collaboration between Shenzhen’s CQG and Beijing’s JH ENT.
 
KANG Gyeong-jun will play the male protagonist KIM Hyun-bin, who is a national taekwondo representative from Korea attending the 200th anniversary of Choy Lee Fut, a martial arts academy in China. HUH Yoo-jung will act alongside him as a reckless interpreter with a peculiar character named PARK Yoo-jung.
 
The film features the invovlement of some big name staff and crew. Hong Kong director LEE Lik-chi responsible for Stephen CHOW films such as The God of Cookery (1996) and King of Comedy (1999) is partnering with the cinematographer of Thunder Cop (1996), LAU Hung-chuen. The main female character will be played by Angela CHEN, a popular actress who is seen as the successor of Michelle YEOH. Hong Kong film Operation Scorpio (1992) actor and Korean film My Wife is a Gangster (2001) martial arts director, WON Jin will play double duty asan actor and martial arts director. In addition, legendary Hong Kong stars YUEN Biao, CHONG Peipei, mainland singer ZHANG Ji, and many more are signed up for Finding the Lost Master.
 
Shooting will take place in Jiangmen, the birthplace of Choy Lee Fut, and Shenzhen in China. Currently the team is in search for a fitting location that represents taekwondo in Korea. The film will start shooting on December 20th.
