Korean Film Goes to Golden Horse Fantastic Film Festival

The Golden Horse Fantastic Film Festival kicks off on March 29th in Taipei and will run until April 11th. One Korean film, the indie The Peachtree, was invited to join its 2013 edition.

Screening as part of the ‘Ain’t No Cure for Love’ sidebar, The Peachtree is a recent Korean independent film that follows Siamese twins who fall in love with the same girl. Touching on themes of alienation, director KU Hye-sun's sophomore feature got its festival debut in Busan back in October 2011 and subsequently screened during the Jecheon International Music and Film Festival. The young singer and actress KU has impressed many with her recent career swing into the director’s chair. She previously made her feature directing debut with Magic in 2010 at the tender age of 26. The film stars CHO Seung-woo, RYU Deok-hwan and NAM Sang-mi.
