IAWRT Asian Women’s Film Festival to Hold Special Korean Focus

Four Korean Documentaries in the Spotlight
 
 
 
 
A special focus on Korea will take place during the 9th IAWRT Asian Women’s Film Festival which will take place in New Delhi from March 5-8. Four documentaries with a focus on women’s issues will be screened as part of the showcase. These include: American Alley by KIM Dong-ryung; The Girl Princess from KIM Hye-jung; RYU Mi-rye’s My Sweet Baby and Two Lines directed by Ji-Min.
 
American Alley was awarded the Ogawa Shinsuke Prize from the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival after it’s premiere at the Busan International Film Festival, My Sweet Baby also premiered at Busan while Two Lines has previously screened at the International Women’s Film Festival in Seoul, Women’s International Film Festival in Chennai and the Seoul Independent Documentary Film Festival.
 
The festival is being put on by the International Association of Women in Radio and Television (IAWRT), a non-profit organization that seeks to promote women’s views and values around the world. The Focus on South Korea showcase is being supported by the Korean Cultural Center in India.
