Forum for Current State of Chinese Film Industry and Korean-Chinese Co-production
The Korean Film Council (KOFIC) announced that they will hold the ‘Forum for Current State of Chinese Film Industry and Korean-Chinese Co-production’ at Panorama Hall on the 16th floor of Paradise Hotel in Busan between 2 pm and 5 pm on October 7th. At the forum taking place during the 17th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), a panel will report about the result of research on Chinese film industry focusing on co-production between Korean and China. Korean cineastes will attend at the forum to share opinions about Korean-Chinese co-production, which has recently been very active.
Panel members participating in the forum include DO Seong-hui, adviser at Beijing Yìshēngchūnléi Films (北京一声春雷影业), Korean delegation of the Beijing Korean Film Festival (CHO Jeong-Jun, LEE Joo-ick, WON Dong-yeon, JEONG Yeong-beom, Andy YOON, KIM Hyeong-gu and SON Seung-hyun) and other people related to film industry. They will share information about the current state of Chinese film industry and discuss to find ways to support co-production between Korea and China.
An opening speech of KIM Eui-seok, chairman of the KOFIC, will be followed by a presentation about summarized current state of Chinese film industry and a briefing about Chinese film policy and reactions to Korean-Chinese co-production. Finally, participants will discuss unther the theme of ‘Collaboration between Korean Film and Chinese Film: Theater, Service Export, Overseas Distribution’
