In the deep mountain, an old Buddhist monk Hye-gok and a boy monk Hae-jin live together in a temple. A young Buddhist monk Ki-bong visits the temple. Ki-bong mortifies himself to find enlightenment, but is still in conflict with pain and anguish in the morality.
