Their contribution to the audio post industry is widely acknowledged in Korea, having introduced several new technologies into the market. Their first contribution, <Beat> (1997) was the first Korea film to be released in Dolby Digital 5.1, and they are also responsible for the first Korean film in Dolby Atmos, <Mr. Go> (2013). One of the studio's co-founder, sound mixer and supervisor Ralph Tae-young CHOI has received several nominations and won nine awards, including two Best Sound Awards at the Asian Pacific Film Festival. In 2017, Live Tone was acquired as a subsidiary of post house Dexter Studio.
